About Chris, sort of
I’m supposed to talk about myself here–the software tells me so.
I’m Chris, the guy who always wears suspenders. I’ve been playing bridge since I was 18, and hope to learn how any day now.
I’m pushing up on 5000 points, which is what you get if you win 100 points a year for 50 years. Or 10 points a year for 500 years, which is what it often feels like. Not good, just stubborn as hell.
They got me to write the Unit column for the Contract Bridge Forum by promising me a puppy, which nobody has delivered on yet.
I decided to write a blog because I can’t stand writing a column that will be published in 3 or 4 weeks–there isn’t any news in it, only old. The blog I can keep fresh and enjoy talking about what is happening when it happens. And since it isn’t in the league paper or on the unit website, I can say any damned thing I want without worrying about making some brass hat cranky.

Hi Chris,
I love your blog! I want to report that Carroll Brooks & Marj Russell came in 3rd in the Thus/Fri Compact KO with teammates Bob Chase & Alan Bostrom. We won the Friday Compact KO with teammates Elizabeth Sachs & Desi Soto, winning in the finals by a mere 76 IMPs (76-0)!
Marj
Is that U? That is the cutest pic. It must be the software? A puppy would be cuter tho. PS: Why NOT open that 13 pt. hand? Aren’t the plenty of times it would work out well?
